Project Twenty21 - March Update

Doctor Prescribing Medical Cannabis

In this update, we reveal the latest data and patient feedback from Project Twenty21, and answer some common questions from patients.

We also announce new events related to the project and how you can be part of a medical cannabis documentary which will include Project Twenty21.

Last month we asked for your stories, and we’re thrilled with the response we received. These provide us with valuable insights and snapshots into the experiences of our patients, both the benefits and the challenges. Thank you so much for submitting these, and we would love to gather more of these stories in the coming months.

Quotes

“It has completely transformed my life; going from suffering unbearable daily pain to something completely manageable and it’s given me the confidence to live again.”

“The best thing to come out of 2020 is Twenty21.”

Number of New & Follow up patients by month

Launch of Adult Epilepsy

Project Twenty21 is now able to accept patients presenting with Adult Epilepsy. The costs for clinical appointments are the same as for other T21 conditions and can be found on the Clinic Directory. Due to this condition requiring high doses, there is a separate capped price for a month’s treatment between £375 and £550. A specific range of products are available on the Epilepsy formulary, which your clinician will be able to tell you more about.

Documentary Research

We have been approached by an independent filmmaker who is developing a television documentary idea about medical cannabis. She is keen to speak to adult patients AND parents/carers of children who are considering embarking on their medical cannabis journey and who are interested in being part of Project Twenty21. If you would be willing to have a confidential conversation with no obligation to participate, please complete this form.

Q&A

We’re unable to respond to all of the emails we receive, so we have added some new questions and answers to the Patient page of our website which you can read here:

  1. Why is it hard to find information about medical cannabis products?

  2. What standard are Project Twenty21 products produced to?

  3. How much does it cost?

  4. When will Project Twenty21 be complete?

  5. How many places are left on Project Twenty21?

  6. Where can I ask questions that are not answered?
